The Russian River Valley Winegrowers Association

The Russian River Valley Winegrowers Association (RRVWA) is a non-profit marketing and educational organization whose purpose is to nourish the region’s agricultural diversity while preserving its environmental resources and maintaining its authentic farming heritage. It fosters cooperation among winemakers, grape growers, restauranteurs, artisan food producers, inns, and resorts. The region produces in excess of 500,000 gallons of wine with about 7,000 planted acres. The logo created for the RRVWA incorporates four visible symbols of the region: its grapes, vineyards, trees, and eponymous river.

Satori Cellars

Satori Cellars is an up-and-coming winery in Gilroy, California whose first vintage (2006) was released in the Spring of 2008. The logo design, which will figure prominently on its wine label, is based on the “S” in Satori (meaning deep and lasting enlightenment) and intended to suggest the growing tendrils of a grapevine. This organic approach communicates a sense of fun and wonder and is brought to life in a curling rainbow of color and light.
